Hi all,
I'm trying to set up some mappings in user mode with the push. and I'm finding that when I map encoders to either macros in an rack, or straight to parameters on devices, turning the knob down decreases their values too fast.
I've tried mapping an encoder to the project tempo, frequency of an EQ 8 node, and a macro in an effects rack.
One interesting note is that sometimes if I nest an effects rack within another effects rack, and map the macros straight across, it functions normally.
I've set the take over mode to value scaling from Live's preferences, but it didn't help.
Has anyone else run into this problem before?
Thanks,
mathie

Re: User mode encoder goes down too fast
there are different modes for the rotaries.... I think the one you need to choose is"Relative (lin 2's Comp.)"
you can see and change which mode the rotary functions in whilst midi mapping is active in the bottom left hand side of the screen.
read about it here: https://www.ableton.com/en/articles/push-user-mode/

Ah, thank you for the quick reply!
I saw that menu in Ableton's website's instructions for midi mapping, and had looked down below, but for some reason it didn't seem to be coming up at the time.
Looks like it's working now though, thanks!
