Re: Push 2
I think as MArc75_RLP.
What's really new and exclusive for Push 2?
1) The possibility of editing samples "on the fly".
2) Pads
I think that paying 699€ (or 489€ turning back your Push 1) is totally crazy!
Push 1 is updated with Ableton 9.5, samples pre-listen from browser, 3rd parties VSTs loading from browser, and others...
Also you have the PXT addon from nativeKontrol through User Mode.
I do not understand why people is under-selling their Push 1 units!

Re: Push 2
Yeah Push 1 has a display from like, 1980.

Push 2 to me is definitely worth it, for the screen alone. The whole interface has been redesigned to work with this.
Look at Teenage Engineerings OP-1. Amazing little color display, and basically as expensive as Push 2.
You can tell just from watching the videos how it all improves the Push workflow.

Re: Push 2
You can purchase a oled display for 30bugs from every electronic dist, use google.
That hole scrap is a array of buttons and knobs and a display, i guess material costs max. 50-100€.
And compare a midi controller with a stand alone synth sampler, sorry no idea...

Re: Push 2
Actually I really liked the retro-style display of Push.
But I also love the OP-1 style screen of Push 2 so it's probably a good trade. The Push 2 screen IS objectively better.
Can anybody confirm that it's actually an OLED screen? I'd hate to have traded in my Push one for yet another device with a boring LCD screen.

I build Midi controllers recently and After Touch capable pads are quite expensive. Especially 64 of them. I think they alone already account for the upper bound on your suggested cost.
Also they didn't use any old OLED, for smartphones or tablets (that's why they are so cheaply available) the format wouldn't fit.
Inform yourself a bit before you spout obvious nonsense.
