Programming Operator w/ Push 2

Hey, old friends.

Push 2 has me quite excited, and I am considering swapping my Monomachine Mk2+ for it.
As such, I am mostly interested in the workflow of programming Operator, and Analog from the Push 2 interface and staying off the mouse.

I have a specific question regarding Operator within the Push 2 interface.
1) Do you have access to the algorithm parameter?
2) Are there any synth level parameters that are not accessible from Push 2?

Thank you!

Hello

I'm only on Push 1, but I'm sure Push 2 would be equal or greater regarding parameter accessibility. I'd also be curious as to how this compares to Push 2. Looking at the below, it seems it'll be back to custom mappings for Push2 once I buy it...I still don't understand why Ableton is adamant to omit parameters...like Wave for Operator's oscillators...this is a pretty important parameter.

(1) yes
(2)Operator - 8 banks:
first 4 = Osc 1 -4: ADSR, Coarse, Fine, Vel, Level
LFO: ADSR, Rate, Amount, Type, Rate<key
Filter: ADSR, Freq, Res, Vel , Amount
Pitch: ADSR, Init, Glide time, amount, spread
Routing:@ Time<key, pan, pan<key, pan<ran, Algor, time, tone, volume

Analog - 7 banks:
Osc1+2: level, octave, semi, shape; level, octave, semi, shape
Filters: osc1balance, f1 fre, f1 res, f1 type, osc1balanc2, f2 freq, f2 res, f2 type
Filter Env: ADSRs for Filter 1 and 2
Filter Modulate: F1 on/off, F1Freq-LFO, F1_freq_env, F1Res-LFO (same for F2)
Volume Env: ADSRs for both amps
Mix: amp1 level, pan, LFo1 shape, speed, same for amp2 and LFO2
Output: Volume, Noise on/off, noise level, noise colour, unison on off, detune, vibrato on off. vib amount

Hopefully Push 2 has complete mappings.

Wonderful, thank you for taking the time.

A little disappointed with no filter type assignment for Operator, but I imagine it may be added in Push 2. Still.. this seals the deal for me. Out with Monomachine and in with Push 2.

Cheers.

No worries, I'm sure it'll not disappoint. Even with some ommissions, I'm very happy with even the first gen Push.

Yes, I know that Simpler, for example, has proper mappings on Push 2 for the new Filter parameters, so it's probably updated for Operator too.

looks like you can do everything via push when it comes to using operator. i'm not a power user, but you press the 1st top row button and then it'll let you adjust everything. same thing for analog.

The new Operator layout on P2 is amazing. You can almost everything from the controller.
The only (annoying) things that are missing are a few envelope points for the pitch envelope.

Thanks for responding as well.

Is Operator filter type available on P2?

AH, cheers Jur. Like I hoped, Push 2 has different/improved mappings compared to Push 1

The mappings are a lot better now I think, they make a lot more sense. It won't please everyone's preferences, but I think overall it makes using the devices from Push a lot more intuitive.

Yea, thanks. I saw that video.
Was asking about Algorithms, though. Not waveforms.

Found it in some other videos on the Abes youtube channel, and of course all the helpful folks here.

Someone buy my Monomachine Mk2+ so that I can get my Push 2! :)

Sorry for reviving this old thread.

I am thinking about getting Push 2.

Since I love to program sounds on Operator and Analog, I'd be interested if it's possible by now, for example, to control the whole amp and filter envelope settings with Push 2?

Can I get rid of the mouse and computer screen and really program anything operator-related via Push??

Thanks in advance, guys!

i program sounds in operator only from push 2. but tbh my patches are not super complex with modulation destinations and such. i have not had to go back to the mouse for any of my patches yet.
