Not to be a whiner (as I said the new Push is fantastic) but I'm a bit concerned with the buttons coating quality. I was using Push this morning and my fingernail hit a button (I was pressing the button softly not hitting it like a drum pad) and removed tiny bits of the coating revealing the light under it. I don't have witch nails, is that fragile ? If so, I'm afraid that after month of usage it will vanish by itself...

I've had Push 1 for 3 years and never had this issue before, it doesn't seems the same material though

I still have to test proof it but apart that issue the overall build quality is good and the design very well thought.

pads seem fine on mine had no issues with any coating coming off

The Push 2 buttons (not the drumpads) feel really thin and not-so-long-lasting compared to Push 1. Feels like there are sturdy buttons beneath, covered with a thin rubbercoated cap on it.

But honestly for me, it doesnt matter if it wears a bit. It's a tool, and is not just a fancy object to make your friends drool.

I tried Push 2 in a store and immediately thought this thin rubber coating over clicky button is a bad idea...

At a 1150$ in Canada this tool better have long lasting buttons...

there is only 2 possible options
1/ try before you buy
2/ take it back if you dont like it within the 30 day money back option

you got a head start on the rest of us when the vintage Push market gets hot

it's an instrument, for god sake. treat it with respect and u will be fine

Push 2 coating quality after 17 days....same poor coating quality as the Push 1

@RDiiO Didn't you have thread about this here?... I am waiting for the price to drop before I take the plunge. But really these buttons were a poor choice for a famed german engineering. Coating aside that rubber layer will break IMHO.
