Push 2 without Power perfectly useable!
Push 2 without Power perfectly useable!
I've noticed a few comments about how Push 2 without AC power is too dim and not useable via use alone. I was a bit annoyed as I enjoyed using Push 1 on the sofa but I ordered 2 regardless.
Just tried it out tonight and if anything, it's brighter than my Push 1 was! This is into a 2015 MacBook Pro running off battery (so not even mains power to the computer). I'm well happy with that!
Just thought I'd mention it in case it's putting anyone else off.

Re: Push 2 without Power perfectly useable!
Can't answer for everybody but mine is very much usable without the power plugged in.

That certainly looks a lot brighter than mine without the PSU, that's for sure!

The downside of pictures, hard to tell absolute brightness. Here's mine plugged and unplugged for comparison:

Agreed, especially with iPhone autoexposure but I can promise you that those are very similar to the perceived brightness as I was looking at it (I adjusted the exposure comp in the phone to match what I was seeing).
I wonder if it's related to the USB port in some way? That's why I mentioned the computer it was plugged into - perhaps different machines are somehow giving different amounts of power to devices?

Hmm, probably not related to computer age then...
I had to wait a while for my Push to come into stock - I don't suppose they made any changes to the hardware?
For comparison's sake, this is mine plugged in - it's SUPER bright (so much so you can see how my phone has under-exposed the area around the lit buttons) and this was shot after dark but in a lit room:
Essentially, this doesn't look much different to the unplugged photo but the darkness of the surrounding image should help you see how much brighter it is.
