Is there a way yet?
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

Is this something that might happen in the next version? The notes for the new beta mention the new simpler modes being available for Push 1. What exactly does this mean and how would it work?

Is it too much to ask that you program Live to accept shift + Clip (or some other combination) to make this happen? The functionality is already there.
