Should I get Push for producing?

Hello all,
I'm thinking about what I should get for a while now.
I use Ableton for producing only and also I am only working in the arrangement view.
My music is mainly loop based (disco, funky house) and I like to freak around, shortening the cycles and use stutter efects and filters.
I'm coming from a hardware setup with samplers and I used to slice loops up and put them under pads and keys.
Since I moved over digital I'm cutting things up in Ableton and move around the audio bits to create grooves and variations.
In short, I believe I can be more creative going back to the "sampling way".
I can't really decide If Push is the right thing for me.
I wonder if its perhaps more suited for live performance instead of producing.
te alterantive would be something like the Akai I guesss.
Will Push be worth it for me or am I better off getting something else?
Can anyone advise me.
Thx in advance
