Why NO Guitar Layout for Notes ??

A 'guitar layout' mode for the notes seems like a reasonable expectation for Push, yet it isn't implimented.
You can select Chromatic mode and then change the direction to Vert or Horiz, but this is 180 degrees off.

So my qustion is this, am i missing something?

Will this mode be in the next Live update?

Is there a Max4live patch to do this?

Ideally you would set layout to 4ths, Chromatic, direction Horiz, Reverse [eg flipped 180 degrees].

Yeah, it's just a shame it's off by 90 degrees

Its a shame you haven't noticed you can rotate it 90 degrees with the Direction option in the Scale page.

That was one of the first things i tried and then its 180 degress off. I want to play the octave from the root the same way i play it on my bass. Down 2 steps, to the right 2 steps. Presently no combination of direction and layout will allow this. I have now submited this as a feature request. Only time will tell.

My mental map of the fret board is one based on the guitar tablature diagrams. It is based on a view of the fret board where the guitar is stood vertical.

The current guitar layout is based on a view of the guitar as if resting on your lap. I could adapt to that view, but the question is why? I want the discoveries i make on the Push to translate instantly to my bass, and visa versa.

Besides which Push has all those different scales mapped out, which i would like to translate back to my Bass.
