Scales in live without push

Post by Jbvdb » Fri Jun 30, 2017 2:07 pm

So is it possible to find out the key and scale of a project made using push if it isn't connected to the computer?

I started some projects at a friends studio and now I don't have the push with me , how can I figure out the key and scale at home? Is it saved in the project itself? It must be for push to open back into the right scale when the project is opened.
Thanks

afaik, even with the Push connected, there is no way to know the scale used, unless you don't change the Push setting but i am not sure that powering off don't reset the chosen scale.
Anyway there is no sense to desire this because a song can use several scales (one for the verse and one for the chorus), the best thing is to rename each clip with the scale use.
i suggest you to use the scale device to guess the scale by hears, you set a scale in the device, if the notes don't change you have the right scale.
You can try HarmoGuessScale a free M4L device :
