Hey guys,

I think I have a problem with my device. While scrolling through sounds after adding a new device, Live starts to record automatically. Does anyone else have the same issue or do any of you know of any solutions?

I would go into your midi mapping and see if something is accidently mapped to record, if so, unmap it. It wouldn't hurt to check for a driver update on your push either. Which Push do you have?

I have the Push 2, nothing is mapped by the way I've double checked.

What about triggering scenes? Whether this starts recording or not is governed in preferences.

Try making a fresh new template. I once had random issues like this and it was something in my template I saved that was bugging it out. (I still to this day don't know what the culprit was.)

I have the same problem. Does anyone have a solution yet? I use Ableton Live 9 still if that helps. I also use the stock template, so that shouldnt be the issue.

What are the exact steps involved?

I am currently dealing with thus problem and it is extremely frustrating. I basically can't do my regular workflow
or use my push. Did anyone get a resolution to this?

This is also happening to me. Live 10.1.14 on a MacBook Pro running OS10.13.6

New sessions or old sessions it always seems to happen when things when I try to open up the computer and go.

I find restarting the computer helps reset everything and it works.

I noticed the colored lights that show midi going in lighting up like crazy when the problem is happens. Like the push is spazzing out or something.

It's really hard to help as nobody really gave any detailed explanations of their setup, use cases...

Yep, one reasons why I usually avoid answering on threads like these anymore. Basic info would help, no info, no help..

I have had a similar problem to this, my push would start automatically recording one loop after the other and throwing my whole set off.

I found that if I stuck a foot switch in the number 2 looper foot switch port, this completely eliminated the issue.

Had this problem with my Push 2. It was the pedal inputs - inserting a standard audio cable into the two pedal slots at the back fixed it for me.
