midi clip edit song follow

when editing long midi clips (200 bars) is there a way to get the push to follow along with the song rather than pressing page right a bunch to get to a specific bar...?

...in clip mode push and hold the next page button for some seconds...

didn't work. I want to edit existing midi at the currently playing point

...try it in step sequencer (not note) mode...
