Reset Push 2
Hello, I have been spending time trying to get my Push 2 back to a default state. Currently I can see the power button light up when connecting via USB and/or connecting with the power cable. My Push is not being recognized as midi device on PC or Mac though. My Push 2 is also completing blank with no loading UI or any other UI being shown when powered on.
Here is an example of what my midi settings look like in ABleton. There are multiple listed Push in the device settings.

Is there a button or series of buttons to hold down when powering on the device to set it back to a default state? I'm at a loss of what else to do to troubleshoot. I can confirm the USB cable is firmly attached and I've followed the various instructions for both Mac and PC that are available on the support site.

Re: Reset Push 2
There are no "default settings" since push just loads what Live hands it so once it is not connected to Live, it has nothing going on under the hood.
Are you using the power supply? If you are just using the usb cable then just double check it is in fact inserted correctly as it can be deceptive with the plastic recess that sometimes causes some resistance to the plug and makes it feel as if it is in but may not be pushed all the way.
If you switch Push on without any PC connected it should at least show the logo so if that is not happening it sounds as if there is no power getting to it, or it is completely faulty. I'd be looking at the first case tho and if you haven't tried, crack out the power pack and plug it in as a test.

Re: Reset Push 2
Hi jester thanks for the response. I do not see any loading screen when I turn the device on. I do see the power button illuminate when I'm connected to USB or connected to the power supply so I know the device is receiving power but its not transmitting anything over the USB cable (I've tried several different cables).
I'm hoping there is some type of button combination to hold on the push to get it to reset itself back to an initial state or prior version of firmware.

There are no hidden key combos or anything like that, so your best bet is going to be contacting support@ableton.com

Also having this from time to time, switching USB ports is usually the solution here.

I'm having this same issue
nothing is working
changed USB cables and ports
reinstalled drivers

I've gone through all the suggestions in the articles i've been sent by support, but when i ask about getting my Push2 repaired they keep sending me to the articles
what gives?

Re: Reset Push 2
While considering posting a response to such an old thread, but as this thread came up 3rd in a google search for this topic on February 5, 2021, there is likely no problem with your Push 2. Please try deleting your Ableton preferences file located at c:<username>\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live<version>\Preferences\Preferences.cfg. If you cannot see these folders/files it is because they are hidden and you need to 'show' hidden files. This fixes the problem the majority of the time.
