Automating in Arrangement View

So I have a few tracks in Arrangement View. One of the MIDI instrument tracks has a Clip that contains some automation when I was in Session View. But now I need to perform more automation to the arrangement of that clip without going back to Session View. Push won't allow me to only record automation (in arrangement view) because it overrides my MIDI clip information as well since it is Record Armed via Push. So is there any way to record only automation (in arrangement view) while tweaking parameters on Push?

You have to make sure your track is not "fully" armed, the dim-pink arming from Push is not a problem.
Make sure midi overdub is turned off. I know that for some reasons (that I've forgotten) it's not always straight forward though.
Fortunately THIS DEVICE solves this and has way more tasty features.

Fantastic! I knew the solution was somewhere around the corner, just needed to find this '+' button (to the left of Automation Arm button) known as MIDI Arrangement Overdub whose purpose I wasn't aware of until now, thank you for pointing it out. Btw it needs to be turned 'on' in my case (not 'off') because if it is off then the (new) MIDI clip starts overriding my old MIDI info, whereas while it's on it overdubs (automation) my old MIDI info without overriding it.

Only purchased the Push two weeks ago & I'm loving every minute of it :)
