How to stop conflicting midi messages from another controller ie Apc40

Just starting using a Push 2, and using it alongside my APC40 mk2, both set up as control services in preferences.

It all works fine and seems to be no issues except strangely the cross fader on my APC40 when moved sends some midi message to my push, not sure quite what it is but it suddenly selects another track on the push.

This happens if I leave the APC40 in default state or even if I assign my own mapping the cross fader.

I guess there must be some mutual command used? Wondering how I can go about stopping that, filtering it changing it, blocking it. Any suggestions welcome
