You can already use it on a surface tabletrolfski wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 10:26 pmI would die for an "Ableton Push Go": a battery-powered standalone Push that runs a touchscreen-friendly version of Ableton. Not unlike the MPC Live actually.
Speaking of a touchscreen-friendly version of Ableton, where is it anyway? With all the developments in hardware, running Ableton on an iPad or Surface tablet nowadays really shouldn't be a problem and would actually be awesome.
Ableton Push 3 update

Re: Ableton Push 3 update
Push 2 should get a chord mode and some probability / randomisation stuff like the Launchpad mk3 pro.
I wouldn't say no if push 3 was a lot more like the Electra One with full Live integration but still with the pads (or as a separate controller on its own).

Imagine a Push with built in Ableton Live that does not require a computer, just like Akai MPC Live. Now that would be amazing...

…you think it‘s awesome not to be able to use vsts when the unit is not connected to a computer?…i don‘t get it where the need for a standalone unit comes from…

I don't rely that much on VSTs. Standalone units are great for live purposes or if you need more mobility.scheffkoch wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 10:45 am…you think it‘s awesome not to be able to use vsts when the unit is not connected to a computer?…i don‘t get it where the need for a standalone unit comes from…
Re: Ableton Push 3 update
They just cut the price... it's 100 euro cheaper everywhere so I guess time has come.
Re: Ableton Push 3 update
I wanted to buy a push tomorrow. Where did you see a 100 Euro lower price? Not here in Germany!??

DAWS: Live 11 Suite + PUSH2, Studio One, Bitwig and Reason all via an X32 desk: Instruments: modular and analogue stuff, guitars, basses and drums.
Re: Ableton Push 3 update
Ableton should do a linux-like low latency (ideally real-time) distro that boots on any computer (ARM, Intel, AMD, raspberry pi, etc.) instead of a standalone Push box.
I mean, if you are going to do the work to make Live run in a ARM chip (which seems to power the AKAI and NI boxes, then of course the Macs), may as well go all the way, make it boot in as many hardware as possible.
Then people can build their own Ableton boxes.

Yeah, that's already been debunked as a photoshop.... and not even a good one.Sean_Clarke wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2020 3:45 pmYou may want to wait a minute....
https://ask.audio/articles/sneak-peek-a ... controller
- Midi ports are misaligned and don't make sense why there are 4
- Outputs unlabelled as Input/Output and missing either expression or foot pedal connections
- SD card "slot" is nothing more than a grey line and is way too big for the size of a SD card, looks more the size of a CF card
- All the labels and logos have been added onto the image and appear "clear" while the image is grainy
- Why on earth would there be a promo image just of the rear of the unit. You would want to show off the actual user interface part of the thing for a starter.
If it was something actually leaked from Ableton then I would not be interested just based off how bad that knock-up is.
Seems it's just hype to generate traffic to a site based on the back of NIs current Maschine+ release or to undermine it and throw off some potential NI sales.
I am sure a P3 will bring some new and interesting features some time in the future, probably a touch screen and maybe even wifi enabled to cut the chord. A programmable touch strip to be used for the xfader, maybe even a crappy audio interface and of course more streamlined usage that will probably tie in perfectly with Live 11. All speculation but seems more realistic than a standalone product considering there are just a lot of people that have no need for a limited groove box especially given the options already available.

So many people against standalone
