Using push touch strip to send pitch bend messages to drum rack

Hi everyone,

I hate how the pitch strip is locked to view window in the drum rack. I would never, EVER, want to switch the drum position that way. I exclusively use the octave buttons to move the drum view window. It's actually been a problem for me. I have accidentally hit the pitch strip during a performance and shifted all the drums out from under my fingers.

What I really want to be able to use the strip to do pitch bend messages instead. Is this possible?
