Hello everyone - I am new to Ableton & Push. I received my Push 2 unit last week but I'm having a hard time getting started. The unit powers on and the buttons light up but it seems to respond very little.
1) I checked the USB cable. it's connected directly to the laptop (I also tried another machine)
2) I checked the Live preferences to make sure Push 2 is set as a controller (and that there's no second entry)
If I load a blank Live project, and I click browse or add track from Push, nothing happens. If I load a Live project, the Unit display changes, but then I can only seem to control very few parameters and but nothing else. It almost feels like the unit is freezing.
I took screenshot and short videos to demonstrate the issue.

I did open a ticket with support but I haven't heard from them yet. Any help you can offer?
Help with Push 2
Re: Help with Push 2
This isn't getting down to the root of the problem,
but you could try turning on/off track under the input port settings
until your unit responds as it should.
The behavior in the video is pretty erratic.

Re: Help with Push 2
Thank you very much for the information.
I tried to play with those settings but with no luck. I tried it on two different computers. Any other ideas by chance?

Hey, I don't know if this is a silly answer but I noticed in your video it says "user mode active" which I don't remember my Push showing.
Did a quick search and saw this:
You can enter User Mode by pressing the "User" button on Push. This will switch off Push's regular functionality to allow you to create your own MIDI mappings (as you would with any regular MIDI controller).
Maybe the issue is it's in user mode?

Re: Help with Push 2
Hey folks - thanks for all the help. I'm finally in touch with support and it looks to be a hardware issue: either the power adapter or the unit itself. Hopefully it will be resolved soon.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
