ok, so I have a Remote switched on in my Midi preferences, and still, I'm not able to map my Push 2 with Ableton.

What I have realized is that if I switch my Track off for Push 2, I can still play notes.
Any ideas what's wrong?

thanks!

You can only map things from Push's User mode.

I’ve been hoping to be able to use Push 2 with IK Multimedia’s Modo Bass plug-in for years now, but Modo Bass only allows control from MIDI CCs. And using Push 2’s User mode means I loose all the other Live/Push integration so it’s not a workable solution for me.

Are there any Max4Live workarounds for controlling CCs from Push 2 in its normal mode (not User mode)?

There’s several devices on maxforlive.com that let you control ccs via push. I used them with hardware so I’d assume they’d work the same with vsts.

Thanks Gross9978, yes I have tried a few devices from maxforlive.com... The closest I've come to getting this to work was with CC map8 1.1. I was able to map from CC map8 to a Modo Bass parameter and then map that to Push 2's buttons, but not to the knobs!! I just don't get why it won't recognize the knobs?

Update... 14-bit MIDI4Push 0.1 works! I hadn't tried it because the MIDI4Pus description said it was based on CC map8 so I figured it wouldn't work. But apparently they aren't that similar?

Are you mapping in the user mode or the push mode?
