Tracks showing up in Session view onscreen but not on Push II

Post by zeroklvn » Wed May 25, 2022 1:23 pm

Hi all,

I'm a newbie, so please excuse this likely very simple question --

I had a group of loops sent to me by a music collaborator. I opened them in Ableton (10, I believe?) via the file system in the DAW, held command, and drew them into the project. I've done this both ways - drawing them into arrangement view first, and session view first. Everything looks great on the computer screen in both, and I can play each track individually in session view by clicking them in Ableton on my screen, but then when I turn to the Push II, those loops do not show up on the first row of each track. I can see the header/label of each track on the Push II, but then no playable clips.

I feel like there must be a super simple explanation I'm too new to see myself. All help would be appreciated!

You're Push maybe is in Note mode?
Or it's in Session mode but the "red box" is offset. This "red box" (it can be another color) represents in Live's Session view the 8x8 Push grid's focus.
Try pressing Push's octave up/down and/or Page left/right arrows to shift the red box focus.

It's also probably worth checking this Push tutorial series
