I also have this problem, and it's only started happening since I got Ableton 11?
I'm also using a Push 2 so I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

I’m not sure how to screen shot it on here. I’m not sure if there’s something that I have to do on my preferences settings or launch preferences. This is very overwhelming.

You should have it selected as a control sudrface with thew input and output set to the controller, beyond that I'd have to direct you to the manual o the in built lessons within live....

What are your settings in the MIDI preferences tab?

Greetings everyone

I am now noticing that Live no longer seems to be "following" clips launched on the APC40. It used to automatically highight the track of any clip launched on the APC, which I found quite helpful.

Wondering if this has something to do with latest version of Live? It was working as described above until Live updated. I have a screen shot of my MIDI pref's page, but I don't know how to attach it to this post!

Select on Launch needs to be turned on in the settings.

You're absolutely correct! Dilemma solved, with many thanks.

Can you please tell me how I could have attached a screen shot of the settings page? I'm sure to find that useful in future.

I'm having the same problem over the last few days with my Akai APC 40 MK2. All buttons and sliders are working are all working except for the thank bank select buttons.

It was working fine and after unplugging it and moving my laptop to another room I plugged it back in and the bank select buttons don't work. All the other buttons seem to be working fine. I have kept it in a case except when using and it did not take any falls or jolts when I moved it.

In the past I've had issues with my scene launch buttons but it was resolved once I got a new USB cable. I've ordered some more cables but tried using a friend's able and got the same result. And will see if I can find someone else with Ableton that I could try on a different laptop.

I've tried to check and uncheck all the boxes in Ableton midi/controller preferneces to get it working but no luck. Here's a link to my current settings - https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/v6k02yqm ... z0wmn&dl=0

I also have a launchpadX that is working completely and can move through the clip views with no problems.

Any ideas on how I can continue to troubleshoot? Not sure if its an Ableton setting problem or hardware.

Thanks for your help!

Did you do any midi mappings? Midi mapping notes could override the control surface mappings on the APC. Even if the mappings are on the Launchpad for instance.

A way to override that is to turn off Remote with the APC input line in preferences. If that doesn’t fix the issue, then that’s not it.
