Epic electro/ambient intro followed by Drum and Bass

Post by psychohagis » Tue Feb 23, 2010 11:55 pm

Hey everyone.

This is an old experiment we did that I've now remastered. It uses a couple of samples from the Ableton library but most of it is original and all produced by us. I'm particularly proud of all the sound effects within this song which we produced ourselves.

It starts out all ambient with lots of sound effects then moves into a kind of hip-hoppy section with some vocoded lyrics. And then about half way through goes into drum and bass.

Hope you enjoy.

Pretty nice change up to DnB and the vocoder was nice as well. The overall mix quality was pretty good. Sounds like you loads of fun making it. Thanks for sharing.

I really enjoyed the two distinct rhythms sharing the same song space. Excellent use of stereo field. Vocoder was mixed a little too mid-bassy. So I couldn't hear it clearly until the bass quit, like at the breakdown, and the end. But it didn't bother me too much. I just figured you wanted it as an another instrument rather than a lead. Great pacing. I liked it.

Fizmarble - thanks a lot. "I just figured you wanted it as an another instrument rather than a lead." - something like that :P But yh I hear what u mean. Its not really meant to be a lead though so thats alright.

made in live - Cheers. The funny thing is those vocals are actually a guy. My bandmate can sing high

definitely diggin' this track.

The transitions sounds really tight, and flow quite well. Good work.
