Re: The aSample-ation of Jesse James
listened to this one and the other one you posted. this one is much better.
what monitors do you use? it's mostly the EQing and levels. the writing is there, no doubt, things just need some polish. both songs sound off in the same way.
the other track is really loud, lots of compression. the different parts need to be EQ'ed to mesh together (or have less EQ applied.)
interesting work, keep at it!

Re: The aSample-ation of Jesse James
Thanks for the feedback and compliment...
I knocked them together very quickly at home using the iMac onboard speakers and then tweeked them using Sennheiser HD100's.
If I was at my studio I would have been using my Event TR8's which I know the sound of well. I'm so busy with life at the moment, I intentionally didn't spend much time on the tracks.
I understand what u mean with the eq being out. Although I trained in the late 90's recording to tape & using analogue gear, everything I do is 'in the box'. I don't ever really 'boost' eq, I tend to cut what I don't need.
Any more advice u could offer?
Much Appreciated
