Hi there
I have just finished a new song, which is much more synthesizer based, than what I usually do. It is also my first track with vocoder.

What do you guys think about the song and the mix? I think it's hard to get the vocoder to fit well into the mix, any ideas?
Best regards Nikolaj

I won't be able to help you with the mix...everything sounded good to me. Not sure if it was 80s but either way it was really cool.

Okay, thank you
Can your hear what the vocoder is "saying"? It's a bit hard for me to judge, because I know the lyrics...

Actually, no
No you cannot.
Not everything anyway. Some words that stand on their own come through a lot better.
But it's just the nature of vocoded tracks I think. I was recently listening to Flaming Lips, one of the newer tracks has vocoder and I'm assuming it's all professionally mixed, but you can't understand shit
But noone complains because it's so bad ass...take that as a compliment

I like it a lot man, it actually gave me a few ideas on things i can incorporate into my own tracks. I like how the drums fade in rather than out. For some reason i have never thought to do that! Sounds good big ups
