A251.R7 [new ambient trk]

Post by FORMAT » Fri Aug 06, 2010 2:57 pm

Here comes my latest composition, inspired by the great soundtrack for Ghost In The Shell by Kenji Kawai. Partly done in Live, partly in Logic.
Enjoy!

I dug it. Hard to get toooo excited about an ambient track but it is well done, imo. Love when the bass comes in.

P.s. do you have more than one artist/soundcloud acct or am i crazy?

Cheers

Thanks very much.
No this is the only act. Which other ones would you suspect I have? ;-)

Great, because it was (almost) left out / an afterthought.

Yea, the bass makes it for me, but I am glad that it comes in towards the end vs. being in the whole track.

And I dunno, I must have been confused about your artist profile  Ma head asplode.

No problem! I like the fact that even in ambient, flowing stuff, B-lines are of utmost importance.

Hi Format,

I like this track a lot...Nothing more to say..it is good like it is. You had your pictures in mind while creating it. I would do it in a different way, but this is your track. From the production side I would like to have more deepness and atmosphere, but again...this is your "sound". As a reference I would recommend to listen to Twine. A good start is the Album Violets. Maybe this is interesting for you...

Again, thanks for sharing!!

Uwe

I'd like to have a bit more variety in the background sounds. Small details. Maybe a development in the guitar theme. Nice soundscape by the way.
