Hey ya'll this is my first beat. My ears are open to any critiques / suggestions. If you want me to critique yours in return I'd be glad.

I still got a lot to learn but I'm excited. I've been learning a lot and the VSTs are soundin' great . I've never used VSTs or anything before. In particular do you think the reverb makes it too muddy?

Not bad. Nice bit of swing to the beat.
I do think the synths overpower everything a bit and the beat could use more evolution but not bad for a first track.
Also though next time you have to let us see the DAW, it's boring staring at a black screen plus we could give more feedback if we saw your arrangement and instruments used.

ahh good point about recording the daw.
also i agree it needs to be mixed down and could use some more "motion". the i - iv chord progression gets kind of monotenous. but i was havin fun on it.
i just learned a ton of chord progressions, im gonna work on those for the future. thanks for your input
BTW there wasnt any swing on the beat, but im thining you didnt mean that literally haha
