Hey ya'll this is my first beat. My ears are open to any critiques / suggestions. If you want me to critique yours in return I'd be glad.

I still got a lot to learn but I'm excited. I've been learning a lot and the VSTs are soundin' great :D. I've never used VSTs or anything before. In particular do you think the reverb makes it too muddy?

Not bad. Nice bit of swing to the beat.

I do think the synths overpower everything a bit and the beat could use more evolution but not bad for a first track.

Also though next time you have to let us see the DAW, it's boring staring at a black screen plus we could give more feedback if we saw your arrangement and instruments used.

ahh good point about recording the daw.

also i agree it needs to be mixed down and could use some more "motion". the i - iv chord progression gets kind of monotenous. but i was havin fun on it.

i just learned a ton of chord progressions, im gonna work on those for the future. thanks for your input :D

BTW there wasnt any swing on the beat, but im thining you didnt mean that literally haha
