I really need some advice from you veterans here. I've been an ableton junkie for about a year now, and I think I'm really happy with the way this one came out as far as instruments and sampling goes, but I feel like I'm missing so much in the mix. There is a lot of sounds and samples I threw into this one that I can barely hear, and the more I try to fit into it, the more muddled it sounds. If you dig the sound I'm going for, I'd love to get some criticism, it would help greatly. Cheers.
Samples used : Thelonious Monk, Jon Brion Eternal Sunshine OST, Deftones, Atmosphere.

Judging by the samples, your DOOM icon, and your beat, I think you and I are very similar.
This beat is dope though. As far as what you were saying about the mix, I would leave it as is. Not every sample that you use will stand out in the front of the beat. I think it adds a lot of depth in the sound having samples in the background and trying to do otherwise can muddle your mix for sure.
Some of my favorite albums have sounds that I still discover after hundreds of listens by switching headphones. For example The Roots game theory or Radioheads Amnesiac (which for the record, The Roots sample on game theory .)
I am definitely adding you on soundcloud since our stuff is very similar.

Thanks for the feedback man, I added you up on soundcloud you got some cool shit. I do get what you're saying, I do have a tendency to second guess every single track release I put out. Hard not to hear only the negative when you've been listening to it for 3 weeks I suppose.

Good stuff, man. I think the samples sound good, there's nothing wrong with them. I listened to your other stuff, I'm really likin them. I am a big fan of downtempo and trip hop. Your other tracks are good! Space Camp is really nice and chilled and the beat is sick!
I produce trip-hop and ambient downtempo stuff as well, if you could check some of my tunes out, I'd greatly appreciate it!
