Great idea keeping yourself committed to releasing a track every week. I, too, am in your same position, new-ish to production using the exact same DAWs you listed, doing it all on my own and learning along the way. I'm glad I found this Forum to be able to share with like minds to help our music evolve.
I've listened to a few of your tracks, "Helion", "Caffiene", and "Frenchie" and I like your ideas! I really like the intros to both Helion and Caffiene. I can definitely hear your productions evolving. I do believe, however, that some percussion layers would add some depth to your tracks. Even an occasional beat repeat effect would throw in a rhythmic variation that would further draw in the listener (I just recently watched a nice YouTube video explaining all the ins and outs of the effect http://youtu.be/btU2G4pYyLY
I'm curious as to the samples you are using, and how you are gating some of the samples? I haven't quite locked that down yet, but I think it's got a great sound. Anyways, keep up the good work, and good luck in your sound diary!
