MNW - Fresh Start

Known for his future bass remixes of recent popular releases, MNW drops an original tune of his own titled "Fresh Start". This track is best described as a combination of Odesza's pop-friendly summertime vibes and a danceable beat that will make a solid impact on dance floors. Bright, shimmering lead melodies drive most of the track with a backdrop of harmonies to support them, and a brief aside in between drops features Elica Le Bon's deep and full voice. While most electronic music resides in either club-friendly or pop-friendly territory, MNW's "Fresh Start" does a great job in straddling the line in between, proving to be both a sonic force on a formidable soundsystem and also an addictive, catchy tune on headphones.

MNW, also known as Mathew Wang, is a future bass producer and DJ based in San Francisco, CA. MNW has spun sets at well-known clubs in San Francisco such as Monroe and Origin and signed with Bass Off Records in June 2017 to release his first single titled "The Nightmare". Since then, he's released viral remixes of artists such as Dillon Francis and Manila Killa.

His interest for electronic music was sparked by Pendulum albums and Above & Beyond podcasts at the young age of 12 in the suburbs of Fayetteville, Arkansas. While his tastes have evolved his underlying passion for songwriting and production has remained. His sound is characterized by bouncy beats and animated synths that has been inspired by big future bass names such as Flume, San Holo, and Sweater Beats among others.
