Zens? | The Tjukuritja of Uluru | Worldbeat

Post by acbarnard » Tue Jun 19, 2018 4:32 am

According to Aboriginal legend, the Australian monolith known as Uluru is home to the spirits of the Tjukuritja, the ancestral beings who created the world. This track aims to capture a bit of the mystery surrounding these legends.

The instruments include an Aboriginal didgeridoo, an Armenian duduk, a Brazilian berimbau, an African bombshell, an African log drum, a West African talking drum, and the voice of a Tuvan throat singer. The samples are from Stormdrum, EastWest Ra, and various Ableton Live libraries. The track was recorded, arranged, and mixed in Live 10 on a MacBook Pro. The percussion parts were played on a Zendrum, the melodic parts were played on a Push 2.
