I’ve been trying to make music more intuitively this month. This song started with a hi-hat sample that I pitched up, and then added some piano and improvised spoken word about an imaginary job interview. Normally I would have taken a much more structured approach to making music, similar to my video last month about my creative process. For the tracks I worked on this month, I tried playing whatever segment I had been working on and to listen to whatever “sound” I heard coming next. I found that I worked a lot faster, and had a lot more fun working this way!!
