Hard Tech-House track with a positive message, new mix up

Post by Mike Goodwin » Fri Mar 03, 2006 6:32 pm

Hey all

This track has been written a couple of different times in different ways. The track contains samples from the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. As well as a sample from Graca Machel (Nelson Mandela's Wife). The sample of Graca Machel was recorded at Toronto's Ryerson University when she and her husband received there honorary degree's about three or four years ago. She spoke on the welfare of children around the world.

I like this track and would like to share it in the idea of carrying on a positive message to as many people as I can. So if your a DJ and you feel the track and or the Message please turn it up loud and do your thang by bringing it to the people.

Thanks, and hey I hope you enjoy it!

Oh yes the track is called Role Models.

This link gives you a .wav

and this link gives you a 320kbs mp3

Ok there is now a "dub" edit. There is just the vital vox in this edit and it is cut down to just over 4 min. Here is the link.....

You can use it but dont ya be selling it! Also It would be cool to know what people think of it. I posted this in the general section and it got just under 50 hits and no one says anything. Is anybody out there?

the first ;ink not to work for me only second linking work just to let you know. I like this much better withoput the voices it makes annoying and stop many dj to plays this I thinks. Maybe just have vocal when luther talk in break with crowd peoples shouting. Good but not good for me with vocal. I must say to song with politic message is to much to preach sermon to listener so the secret is to not talk to your audience but talk with them and engage them.
good musics :)

your mix is a bit muddy to hear the vocals. You have some digital clicks and pops you should try and deal with. Very hard dance.

thanks for the feedback. I just noticed that the MP3 version of this file was the full version of the track. I have updated it and it is now correct.

Hey radion I just checked and the first link is working fine for me. As for the voices you may have a point, it has a political message but that is the main point of this song. This is not to say that doing a dub version with no vocals at all would not be a good idea. I know what you mean when it comes to politics though. Speak with beats! Words are rare in my tracks.

Ishimaru, you feel the mix is muddy? I was going for big and warm. I would be curious to know if others feel that the mix is muddy. Also I have no clicks over here so im not sure where there coming from.
