"TELL ME WHY"
So here's the story....I'm basically a SINGER/SONGWRITER who writes in several styles & I recently wrote a country ballad....
I Live in L.A. & for the life of me could not find a "country" music producer locally....I wasn't even even close to having finances for Nashville....I finally just moved forward myself & brought in different players locally & had them stick to the original feeling of the tune.......
Let me know your thoughts......on the song, vocals, production, etc. All feedback is greatly appreciated.

Nice production. I like the way it builds up as the song progresses. Nice guitar sound.
My only recommendation is this: listen for the 1 or 2 bigger spaces between the vocals in the verse which left me thinking "where did he go...come back". You have a nice voice. Upon first hearing your song, a listener does not know what is coming next or if it is even coming at all. Maybe you could fill the space(s) with one word or an "ohhh" or a humming to let us know you are still with us.
Nice job!

Don't be sorry.....music is SOOO personal....I'm sure you got stuff I really wouldn't be into either....I just do my best , get out the way, and let the audience decide....

cool
cool country music. and I'm a real newbie musician. plus i don't like country as a general rule.
you could use Live to record something like this - but it's more of an analogue-y track anyhow. you could sweeten the guitars / other instruments etc. with some of the effects i suppose.
the only thing really lacking in it is a bit of technical prowess. and it's a tad long? needs a good mix.
you obviously have the singing and creative music skills. i don't really think you need "software" for this track. my only minor gripe is that maybe it's not original enough. you really gotta stand out these days - although i'm not sure about the country music scene in the US much.
i see you also sing christian songs. here in australia, the number one aussie song award (the aria awards) went to a christian band because the followers of the (hillsong) organisation registered their music sales outlet with the aria awards people and they sold the most of one particular album in the whole of australia. so here - you can make money out of christian songs.
very nice stuff though. thank you.
