New Night Spirit Tracks (House/Electro/New Rave)

Post by Night Spirit » Wed Apr 23, 2008 5:40 pm

Just upped a new house track called "Neon Shadows". Composition still needs some work but i'm really happy with the sound quality thus far. My latest stuff, drawing inspiration from Cut Copy, Midnight Juggernauts, New Order, 2020 Soundsystem, Spirit Catcher and Booka Shade. Id love to see some new faces on my friends list and get some feedback. Enjoy!

Vocals to be added when I learn to sing or find a singer. Prob some vocoder action on "In My Dreams"

Just upped my first French Electro style track.I think it ended up sounding a bit like Kavinsky. Opinions?

Your music is not what I usually listen to but having said that I do like the tracks Bright Lights and Fly Me Away.
They have everything I like in synth pop / new wave and the vocoder vocal in Fly Me Away is brilliant. :)

Thanks for sharing.

Just had a listen to "Night Chase"... good start but I think in order to for that french electro sound (not to mention you should of course develop a style of your own!... but im the last one who should be saying that :D ), i think you need more intensity.

Like your riffs dont need to make people's ears bleed but I'm used to something more powerful for french electro. Also, for your percussion track i noticed you used a kind of rock style beat (no thump on the snare, odd and varied timing on the kick), which would take away from the danceability... although if that's what you were going for then that's totally fine.

Your music taste is pretty much in align with mine as far as electro right now though... so I added you on myspace (check for epic win) haha cheers. :D

Ha. ME and my friends were just joking about that last night, listening to one of my tracks and picturing a movie scene where some 80s kid actor is lying on a bed in his starkly furnished 80s bedroom feeling sorry for himself.
