Hey Spenza,

I'm halfway through this, and am enjoying it.

A couple of comments: the treble would be _painful_ on a club system, and it's missing any real bass thump. What is the bitrate on the tracks you're working from? You may need to fiddle with the bass in general if they're 192kb mp3's or worse.

Other than that enjoying it as music, not sure how danceable it is until daylight (4:11 am here in Germany) when I can switch to my other speakers and turn up, but in general you're giving the people on the floor too many cigarette breaks. Every time you drop the beat that's a signal for them to take a break, and it makes it tough to keep the floor full. Don't let the people in the venue take a rest until they're dripping with sweat and start to go to the side and light up anyway.

HTH,

Chris

Just to follow up, having heard the whole mix: I really like what you're doing technically, but the composition is lagging behind.

For your next mix, try the following: try to make a 1 hour mix without a single cigarette break. Technically, try to have no more than 8 bars, MAX 16!, where a dancing butt could stop dancing long enough to leave the floor.

HTH,

Chris
