This Beta seems to run more stable with one specific track where 8.1.4 is crashing like crazy.
Every track else is running fine with 8.1.4 except this one.

I sent a bugreport (including 4 bugreports) a week ago but still haven´t heard back from the support. There might be a problem with Kaspersky antivirus software cause when i disable it, this one track isn´t crashing at all but as soon as i enable Kaspersky again Live crashes. There is no crashing with Live 8.1.3 or this new beta, even when Kaspersky is enabled so this new Beta is a step in the right direction (at least for more stability with my setup).

+1 on removing the (check for updates) button. I'm using 8.1.4b2 right now and it's handling quite well. I don't know why anyone on this forum would want that. most people live on here 24/7.

let me reiterate on this.. anyone that posts requests on this forum lives on here enough to check for updates their selves. i actually have a proper working version of live right now and don't want to deal with update screens and lazy peeps.. i'm sorry if this might seem harsh, but shit it's been quite awhile that i can drag, drop, delete, record, play, automate, and get on with my stuff.. call it selfish but i'm all for getting rid of the update prompt...

as you're always bitching about Live, and have the same setup/os/mac as me, care to list your problems?
i'd like to bitch as much as you, but lack the ammo :D
which problems?

the problem with 8.01 , 8.02?....8.1?....8.11?. 8.12?...8.13?...8.14?...8.15?

its different problems any version..sometimes old problems come back... somtimes its not crashing anymore...next version you have some crashing again but this and that... than the crashing is gone again..but than ther are zipery noises on the crossfader and other clicks... than its crashes again.. than the crossfading is ok again..and the crashing gone again but clicks when moving loops over the border of samples...what i enyou doing to silence them when scratching them...

now b1.5.. clicks less.. but still produces the end of loop clicks.. intersting is that they are on a much lower level.. so at least its not blowing your tweeters anymore,,

how is the crashing? dont know yet..

Are things getting better? up to 8.14 i cant really state that things are better in the regard that i can use the software confident on stage.. in general its better in many regards than the old versions..sure...
i really would like to see a list of all bugs fixed since 8.01...

must be an amazing list by now... are there any counts? it feels like a thousend sofar..

follow actions and triggerclip mode "gate" behavior has changed at some time between 8.1.1 and now.

If a clip has got a follow action command and at the same time has "gate" as triggermode it will always trigger the the next clip (according to the follow action command).
This was not the case in 8.1.1 where the following clip was only triggered if you kept the (gatemoded)clip pressed for a longer time than the time specified in the gatemoded clips follow action command.

Is this change on purpose? because now it seems that gatemode is just the same as triggermode when using clips with follow actions.

Gatemode works as i should when not using follow action.

Btw. I've not installed this beta so I don't know if they fixed this, but according to the changelog I don't think so.

I'm pretty sure it's for Live 8 owners only, since the beta's don't expire anymore. Otherwise all users of previous versions could essentially upgrade to 8 for free.

How long does it usually take to get a reply from the support when you sent a bugreport?

If you sent it to bugs@, then its normal to not get a reply. Developers don't do support and bugs@ goes straight to the developers. If you require support, mail to support@.
