It's really amazing the lack of civility that some people show, because they are writing from the safety of their computers instead of acting as if they are having a real face-to-face conversation. :|

Yeah, it's all good in a way. Don Rickles-type humor: Putting other people down to help you feel better about yourself. Works especially great on the interwebs

Something you should know about heir Tone Deft before taking heed to his nonsense... he was a part of a 'troll ring' that all shared the password for a special troll account which they used specifically to say the most despicable things ever on this forum. The account name was 'TITBAG' if you want to look up the posts. Sad but true. LOL... and to think he's aiming for some kind of forum moral high ground here.

He's another one of those gifted at playing pretend on the internets

^ and you're part of an O-ring... on a toilet. actually you're like what would be found on one.

its kinda cute how you grab for other points when you're being challenged on one.

how about not being a fucking asshole who attacks people for their job status or nationality like some school bully who pushes the fat kid from behind or knocks the nerd's books out of his hands as if that was ever funny to someone who isn't made of the same black goo from said o-ring?

oh wait, you can't/won't answer that (at least not directly). instead you'll start attacking me or use some tangent in 3...2...

meh.

you'll never learn. that type of respect isn't in you.

See Lazos ?

h20 if you showed any signs of following the discussion I might be inclined to entertain your nonsensical remarks if only for enough time to offer a rebuttal. But it should be sufficient to say I don't needlessly attack leeds for his failings at life... but when he starts pegging erroneous contradictions on trumped-up qualifications it's absolutely relevant to... how shall we say, bring a little context to his claims.

no man, I had nothing to do with TITBAG. if you can search for me and him in the same threads you'd see that I'd often shit on the guy for being such a simpleton. I don't know who he was but he was definitely one of the dumbshits that posts here. he had poor music knowledge and really pathetic humor.

when his focus isn't directed at shitting on someone personally dum does bring a sense of no bullshit to the forum. if I only had a finite number of people to block there are many other posters I'd block before him.

dum - it's been pages of you attacking people and not talking about the topic at hand, this is a serious turn off for many readers, enough man. there's little to no content in the last few pages, this is lame.

Check it out man.
I commented right on target in this thread, why don't you recognise that ? I posted a list of non-neutral operations from the Live7 audio sheet, I consequently replied to a guy who wondered if the conclusions to be had from that sheet were live sounding 'inferior' to other daws.

I plainly stated NO to that question, and used plain simple english to highlight the situation regarding non-neutral operations and their effect on audio quality - applicable to all DAWs. There was no hint of ableton bashing. Not even latent suggestions.

Leeds contradicted me, based on two things [a] totally misreading what I said to the point of making shit up pegging his erroneous contradictions on his supposed qualifications.

and so on, and so forth. and here we are.
and btw, just to note, even after all the bullshit the facts I plainly stated in my original post that set this exchange off still remain both factual & unchallenged. And yet I'm the villain for taking the ad-hominem bait ?

So... the same old arbitrary criticisms from the same old tired protagonists = blow me.

dum - yes, that was all pages and pages ago. enough already. there are lots of posters up in here I can't stand, yet I don't feel the need to crap on them every chance I get. just let it go.

of all the dumbshits that I think could have been TITBAG, it could not be evon, for example. TITBAG wasn't THAT retarded. I also don't think it was a group account, his crap read like the same person. it was someone without a good rep, I write that because TITBAG fell out of character once people liked him. someone with a good rep would get that validation from their original account and could keep TITBAG in character.

The only echo chamber here is dum's attempts to justify his trolling, which he/she cuts and pastes from a text document set up a year ago for efficient wumming.

Shouldn't we all know, forum law 1) you cannot disagree with the overlord dum, who is perfection personified and therefore has carte blanche to do personal attacks on whomever he/she feels like.

Moderators have obviously given dum a free pass these days, anyone else spouting such unwarranted vulgar bile over such a period of time would be gone by now - then again, he/she has been banned before and like an unwanted guest with no class, refuses to leave. Has to crawl back under a new name because he/she has nothing better to do. Sad really. Criticizes people on music production, audio, and employment status yet hides behind his login and anonymity what a brave man/woman he/she is. If you're all that, like you think you are, show yourself - 3phase and others who often disagree have the guts to show themselves and not hide behind a webname.

what do you mean 'show' myself ?

Besdies, I won't entertain such requests because it's only made because of conflicting ideas - and it's no way to justify those ideas. You don't make such 'show yourself' requests when people are stroking your fragile ego. So, I conclude that even if I scanned a copy of my birth certificate and provided it to satisfy your arbitrary requests - you would quickly move on to some other ad-hominem. Presumably weaker than this one, so that isn't saying much.

And what free pass ? I'm merely taking the bait.

You're just sore you got called out for bullshitting about that Dennis F chap, just as I was telling people what a bullshitter you are.

Your opinions are irrelevant to me, so don't flatter yourself. I don't see anyone stroking my 'fragile' ego, nor would I welcome it.

No, some modicum of revealing yourself as something other than a web-bot would be welcome. Scans of birth certificates will work fine.

dum as a victim ? Really ?

Once upon a time this forum was a fun place and educational, people could disagree without getting personal and degenerating into vile name calling. The new standard seems to be state an opinion, get your attack in first and then watch the thing degenerate into a flame fest. More's the pity. The mods are either on holidays or they allow you to abuse the forum in ways others would get canned for.
