gotta give a BIG +1 to sonalksis stereo tools. I use it on all of my mixes, and I've tried everything else out there that I could find, nothing did the job as well as sonalksis....yes it's pricey (I was able to get half off academic discount) but there's just no comparable plugin that I've come by. Sure, stereo widening is best used subtley, but doing A/B comparison with it on/off after tweaking, it's always the case that I want it in my mastering chain....great, great plug!

I'm jumping in here late on this post but I gotta add my 2 cents for Sonalksis as I totally agree on what mholloway is saying. I tried just about every widening tool out there especially on my master buss which is something I'm very cautious in even doing & this is one is in a league of its own. Tried it on a House track that I was pulling my hairs out trying to mix --put it on the master buss set it to 109% (even though u can set it higher & it will spread the stereo elegantly) & the heavens opened up.

What does everyone make of the Crysonic Sindo? I have yet to come across a manual and it seems to introduce a brittleness along with a significant improvement in presence on full mixes which leads me to using it only subtlety if at all. I sent crysonic a message 2 weeks ago asking for a manual (which is listed as being updated in the version history) and no joy.

Hi,
Maybe you need to have a true stereo signal (this plugin doesn't create a stereo)

Has anyone checked out NuGen Audio's Stereoizer?
It looks like the latest version has had a fairly decent makeover (I'm only speaking visually since I have not used it yet). I've been avoiding the demo because I don't like the $99 price tag.
Here's the link:

absolute +1 to sonalksis stereo tools for this job. nothing else can match it (and I tried many). I don't use any of their other products, but stereo tools, every time.
