live.tab operation in "Building Audio Delays" example?

Post by Steve_FX » Mon Oct 19, 2009 7:46 pm

Can anyone explain to a newb why the _parameter_range attribute in the live.tab objects (in the Final Step track of the "Building Audio Delays" example) show 0. 7. - and appear to be restricted to two numeric values which appear to only restrict the index of the item selected?

According to the comment on that same patch I would expect to be able to change the values to my own custom set of values (and indeed I can if replace the object with a different prototype first) but what's special about those live.tab objects that they operate in a different way?

I tried to find the answers in the reference material but I couldn't locate information on the full set of parameters.

If it's not a bug then perhaps someone could put me straight and maybe the comment text might need to be tweaked to reflect what's occurring?

Cheers,

Steve.

Sorry --- in the meantime you can design your own object by using the live.tab help file.

Thanks for the response - nice to know I wasn't being entirely stupid!
