Live 7 and Snow Leopard

Post by SquimbellyToes » Fri Aug 07, 2009 6:35 pm

Does anyone know if Live 7 will be made compatible with Snow Leopard / OS X 10.6?

You mean the history of tons of people buying new software 2 seconds after it's released and then spend the next 3 months bitching about how it doesn't work properly?

No worries, that will happen. Not sure why you're hoping for it though.

Welp, I guess I will let you guys know how this works out! Luckily, I don't use my mobile/Live rig professionally so I can afford to test this out.

I asked Dom this question on another thread, his response was that they don't know yet.

I for one welcome your willingness to test it out and report back on your findings.

In my case both 10.5.4 and 10.5.7 do shitty things so I want to upgrade purely to get a fking OS that actually works properly.

How did it go?

I have Live 7 and am looking to upgrade to Snow Leopard.

I do use Live for gigs though, so am hesitant.

After I upgraded to Snow Leopard Live 7 is unstable, it crashes when recording or loading audio clips. playing/recording Midi instruments seems to be ok. I use live for work so I had to downgrade to Leopard which was a bit of a pain, not blaming ableton, but hope they make an update to Live 7 soon.
