Apc 40 Fader Problem

Post by von-haugwitz » Fri Oct 23, 2009 10:36 am

Hi!

this is my firts Question/Topic in this Forum.
Im german so sorry for the english.

After i read about the Bug in Version 8.08 i thought about my apc40 problem.
The Problem is that Fader 6 and the Master Fader do not work right.
And i have no idea wehther it is a hardware or a software problem like the bug in version 8.08?

Somebody else with this Problem?

Be specific though, like, how does it not working right?
Equipments: Softwares, hardwares, plastics and metal controllers, computers, headphones, a pair monitor speaker, and electricity to power them up.

Hi!

youre quick!!! thx

Fader 6 works mechanical the whole way, but live gets no right information.
The midi in/out (send/return)twinkels alot.:)
The Fader in live just move between -nothing and -64 db
The master Fader works mechanical also but just in an area of -3 - +6 db

You can probably download 8.0.5 from http://www.ableton.com/latest_versions - just to see whether it's caused by 8.0.8 or not. Or wait for the fixed 8.0.8 later today...

is it always the physical fader 6? so if you move left and right does it still happen with that fader or is it the track?

I'm afraid it sounds like a mechanical problem.
I guess the fader also behaves this way if you use the midi learn function in order to map it to some parameter?
If so, you should exchange your APC.

and i map the master on fader 6 and it works like on the master
