Correct behavior when duplicating a device?

When a patch uses #0 within it every new instance of the patch generates random naming. When duping a device in Live it seems that now the second instance keeps the same names as the original rather then generating new random names.

Is this correct? would seem to make it very difficult to use multiple versions of the same device in a set.
