I don't have a reproducible crash here, but I do have a crash pack generated after the following events:
- Max Crashed (That may be because of a feedback loop with live.param~ but I'm not sure)
- When trying to quit Live, it wouldn't let me. It said "There is not enough memory, please save and quit."
I got the message when trying to save or quit. So I had to Force Quit to get out of it.
- When reloading Live, it displayed a message telling me my preferences were corrupted.
- It then generated a crash pack.
Crash pack sent to mfl-beta@ableton.com

Maybe you ate all your disk space? Any start of Live is creating a folder for eventual bug reports. You have to delete them by hand. Its eating gigabytes for breakfast, lunch and dinner and every crash is eating more. Very annoying...
Look into ~/Library/Application Support/Ableton/Bug Reporting/
I would love to see some automatic cleansing from Live. Why isn't this stored in a common temporary folder which would be deleted at least after a restart of the system?
Don't know if this is related to your problem, but I have seen other applications creating corrupt preferences because of missing disk space (makes sense, how could it save if there is no space...)

Re: Unable to quit Live. Preferences corrupt after Force Quit
No, the massage is related to RAM, not to disc space. It could be that something needs a lot of RAM and/or the virtual memory is not configured properly. Anyway, the preferences should not get corrupted from a Force Quit.
As regards the bug reports, they should be deleted automatically after some time. I'll have a look if there is a problem there.
Best, Friedemann

I guess they are only needed to create the Live_Run packs after a crash or force quit. The procedure which creates the pack could (should) delete all bug folders after its done its magic...Friedemann wrote:As regards the bug reports, they should be deleted automatically after some time.
