Re: I confess...

Post by [nis] » Tue Oct 27, 2009 8:55 am

When I was a kid, I saved all my money to buy some equipment. My first machine was a TR-606 drum computer. This + a Midi-to-Sync converter + some cables were 600 German Marks (~ 300 Eur), almost as much as a Live license. I was able to do lots of "Boom-Tsss-Tchik" patterns with my 606, I can tell you! Did that for a few years until I could afford a Sampler, which I bought for 4000,-. Earned from hard work, not from mum and dad.

I do understand that it's hard to be broke and I also know that cracks are easy to get on the net, but that's still not an excuse to steal other people's property. Writing a complaint on our forums that your crack software doesn't work sounds really lame to me. If I had stolen the sampler or any other gear, they'd put me into jail right away.

Best,
Nico

er ive just spent 3 years being one. while at college i got the student upgrade from live 4 to 6, it was about 65 quid. then i bought the student priced full max msp package - a full on spunky bargain at about 165 quid. i thought being a student was fairly ok, what with a part time job and all that.

Learn to do without then and get something else. I had a tape recorder and a guitar. Get over it!
A tape recorder! You were lucky! When I was a student, I used to dream of having a tape recorder. We had to hand-etch wax plates.

"U thieving kunt!
Learn to do without or get something cheaper like Reaper. I could only afford a tape recorder and a guitar when I was a student. Get over it!"

You spelled "cunt" wrong...

Should have saved that tape recorder money and got a dictionary my chum :)

Jesus fuck haha did a pirated version of ableton rape your mother?

I should fucking hope so and your little "/facepalm" what are you?!

Don't be such a fucking sore loser, my soundcards awesome. you know what i'm playing on ableton right now...

So, go fuck yourself and stop reacting to my cracked copy of ableton like a kid who's seen his first fanny, cause trust me when that happens this whole issue will be forgotten...

I just LOVE the righteous indignation - "I'm poor, you guys should work for me for FREE".... shit - I'd like an SSL AWS900, but I would expect SSL to GIVE me one, just because I can't afford it!

I bought Ableton when I was a student - how? I fucking SAVED UP FOR IT. I spent less money on booze and bob marley posters until I could buy it.

My god I love this thread....

so - did you STEAL your sound card too? Or did you BUY it? I' your sound card is "awesome" then it must have cost a shitload more than Ableton....

Filthy little semi-literate scumbags like yourself make me wish Ableton COULD nuke your sound card remotely... and perhaps your house too...
