Hi,
Send and receive work fine cross-plugin, which is absolutely great, but to my surprise, grab doesn't! I would -love- a working grab.
Steps to reproduce:
- In plugin 1, tweak the numbox connected to r yo
- In plugin 2 you will see the value you entered
- Now, in plugin 1, press the bang
- Problem: the value isn't reported from the outlet of grab

Grab doesn't work inside ableton
Re: Grab doesn't work inside ableton
This is still a problem in Live 8.1b7 and Max 40387.
Can you please let me know if you can reproduce this?
Thanks,
Mattijs

Re: Grab doesn't work inside ableton
I can reproduce this and I'll log it. There are a bunch of extra things going on under the hood w/r/t send and receive between devices, I wouldn't count on this getting fixed.

Re: Grab doesn't work inside ableton
Thanks for your reply. Too bad the chances are low that grab is going to work in Live, since it's a very (in fact more or less the only) convenient way to have multiple locations use a single entity of stored data. I use grab an awful lot in my patching, as the equivalent of a variable when I'm programming in Java or C.pukunui wrote:I can reproduce this and I'll log it. Fingers crossed..
