great idea! light, durable, and cheap - this makes me think of what else
around the studio might benefit from such self-made construction.

I can almost hear the sound of saws cutting through plastic piping up as we speak.

Designer furniture on the cheap and a minor revolution in the making.

There are many different thickness's of plastic tubing to be found, so in reality, this could make some very substantial furniture, perfect for elaborate customised set-ups.

Sorry Kwik-lok etc.

Posted this in another thread, but this might also give you some ideas for what you could build yourselves. Already planing version 2 myself, since the shelf for the external hard disc/ sound card was hard to get to in a live situation. Anyway, this is just placed on the turntable and is very stable, perfect for a laptop, controllers or whatever you might need + the turntable is usable!

Here it is

I would murder someone if they placed some big chunky stand on top of my expensive turn tables.. but that's just me, hopefully it's your stuff you're trying to set up on top of.

I have to ask, whats with the coupling in the middle? why not just cut a longer piece?

looks good though!
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

The coupling is a 'Tee' joint that has a cross piece. Its probably there to stop the whole thing from wracking or twisting... maybe? or...

he forgot to measure twice and cut once
