MIDI YOKE AND VISTA SP2

Post by allanaceflyer » Wed Nov 11, 2009 10:32 pm

Midi yoke does not seem to work on vista sp2 and there doesn't seem any upgrade available for it, has anybody else had this problem and is there any other similar software that will work with bloody vista sp2?

Dig around for some instructions. I'm pretty sure if you disable UAC, install yoke, restart, and enable UAC. It will work. I am 100% positive that you can get it to work because I had it working on a previous install of Vista.

EDIT: I got the instructions a little wrong but here you go:

Good luck,

One thing thats wrong about those instructions: "enable UAC"

The vista UAC sucks badly and is really anoying, so unless you're completly incompetent when it comes to using computers and/or feel the urge to download every little free game/app you find on shady sites on the web, you turn it off and leave it that way.

I've been using it with sp2 and TouchOSC. Of course, I disabled UAC a looong time ago.
