299 usd is like a big slap in the face to all of us loyal users who have been with Live since many previous versions and who have spent thousands of dollars in just upgrades alone.

I honestly was expecting the typical 199 upgrade price which I still wouldn't have been stoked on paying. But 299? Ableton can lick my nut sack for 299

dude cycling74 are the ones primarily responsible for MaxMsp, you cant expect them to just give out a 700 software package for 200 bucks just because you were "loyal" to a different company they collaborated with. Fair would be if they hooked up current MaxMsp users, which they are.

Yea I know that. But my point is that its an ADDON program. And Im sorry but imo that is a steep price for any upgrade addon. And ontop of the allready extra steep upgrade price for Live 8 alone, thats where I believe its a slap in the face.
I want that shit so bad. But Im not about to drop ANOTHER 299 on a fucking software upgrade. So Im going to complain on this public forum about it instead. haha

it's not just an addon. an addon would be 5 new instruments, or 100 new samples. this one extends what you can do with your app by a whole new flexiblity. it's not just "an addon".

that's like saying why should i pay for applications. they're just addons to my os!
