@ samplehead.. how did you manage to levitate your monitors like that.. is there any sound advantage to that or is it just for saving space?

@nuxamon, they're phillips speaker brackets from an a/v store. Mainly used them for ergonomic reasons. Perhaps some advantage in that they're not "coupled" with the desk, and they make a perfect triangle with my mixing position. Also since they're angled down, less reflections issues in my small room, but all of this is just speculation I'm no acoustic engineer

Do you notice the wall they're mounted on eating up a bunch of the bass at all? I had a friend with wall mounted production speakers and the whole wall would vibrate when playing. You could feel it on the other side of the room if you hand was against the wall.samplehead wrote:@nuxamon, they're phillips speaker brackets from an a/v store. No, no bass issues, the brackets are mounted into the solid wood window frame

Well spotted Homebelly, yep I still use Paris for mixdown, and for occasionally for tracking/comping vocals. Ableton for everything else.

It was a shame paris went down the toilet.samplehead wrote:Well spotted Homebelly, yep I still use Paris for mixdown, and for occasionally for tracking/comping vocals. Ableton for everything else.
I didn't have a lot of experience using it.
But i remember It had some pretty cool ideas under the hood.

Mine sleeps on top of my rack computer. I keep some calendars on top of it so she doesn't scratch it.necho wrote: does anyone else's cat sleep on their APC40?
She wouldn't like it on the apc, too bumpy, and i wouldn't let her.

Nice ADA MP-1 preamp in your guitar rack!!!samplehead wrote:
I have an MP-2. I LOVE that thing.
I have the same Marshall 4x12 too and the same SKB rack case. It's like looking at my setup.
What power amp do you use in that rig? I use a damn rocktron solid state one right now, but am hoping to get a Marshall or Boogie 20/20 or 50/50 soon.
Re: Post your set up and your sexy cat...
ADA MP2 was my introduction to the world of MIDI Probably the only gear that I've bought new that doubled in price when sold used too, nice.
