Trying to setup Launchpad with APC40 on 8.05

I was wondering if anyone can offer any assistance. I realize that Launchpad will not show up in control surfaces on Live unless I have 8.0.8, but shouldn't it still work with 8.0.5??? My APC40 works fine, but I can not get the Launchpad to work for the life of me. A few lights turn on, but no response at all.

Does anyone have a clue how to get the Launchpad working on 8.0.5. I would rather not install 8.0.8 because of some of the bug issues people are having with it and the APC40.

I think that 8.0.6 is the minimum as the ableton launchpad version I received with the launchpad is in fact 8.0.6

Get the latest 8.10 version, i'm running both APC40 and Launchpad under that without an issue.
