+1. No possesive use of the apostrophe on 'it'. It's the exception to the rule!

Thanks for pointing out Reaper, i will give it a try.
don't be so ridiculous.
ahem, important update and after all this amusing nonsense i must come clean. problem has been drivers/firmware for focusrite saffire pro 24, have got the update and sorted out a bit of silliness in lives library path and am on the road to recovery thanks to the wonderful guy in Ableton support. and me blaming Ableton, like all the great love affairs my affair with Live has been stormy but is passionate, silly me eh, bye bye all..
moving over to Reaper!! myself and live 6 are having a good laugh here about that one.

Yeah, I do that. Most of my mates do too, and we take the piss out of the ones who don't. Best one was when my mate decided to always shorted 'know' to 'no', which made him look retarded.

Man, Charlie Brooker is an absolute legend (He was one of the guys who wrote that paedo episode), screenwipe may be the funniest program I've ever seen!
Some stuff, and some other stuff. Honest.
Currently on a huge and mostly pointless promotion drive, come play:

i use Live and Reaper. Live is great for composing and arranging (nothing like it out there). but Reaper is just so much better for mixing.

I connect them to each other with rearoute, flawlessly, when I need to and I have access to all the features in both

on my duo core system Live maxes out CPU much sooner than Reaper. This is especially so when overdubbing in arrangement view. In fact, Live consistently freezes when doing that (i'm trying to figure out why. Searching here was no help)

But I love the session view and a few other features way too much to stick with Reaper only. Together I have almost everything I need (good comping, like Logic, would be awesome)

they're both excellent DAWs

njh wrote:that is one of my bitches about reaper. you can waste a lot of time just searching through the bloated menu's for a simple function.
the menus are customizable now
and the retarded window that wraps plug ins is very annoying. i know there is some function to get rid of this when you first open a plug in but, the wrapper always comes back after hiding the plug in, then re opening it.
I have it so plugs always open without the wrapper (unless I want it the other way)

you need to learn Reaper a little better ;)
5. the way these reaper fans go on and on about how great it is, reminds me of being a kid
unlike Live fans?!
